A stand-alone DVR(Digital Video Recorder) board device mountable to a computer case is provided to overcome system instability and performance restriction caused from a PC OS(Operating System) in a PC-based DVR device by forming the stand-alone DVR board in a size/shape of a PC motherboard and mounting the DVR board to a position for installing the PC motherboard of the computer case. A video processor(12) receives video data of an external camera(10) by connecting to the external camera, and decodes and transfers the received video data. A DVI(Digital Video Interactive) part(16) outputs the data processed in the video processor to an LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) monitor(17). A CVBS(Composite Video Base-band signal) part(14) encodes and outputs the data to a CRT(Cathode Ray Tube) monitor(15). An MCU(Micro Control Unit)(18) transmits the data received from the video processor to the Internet, and controls data recording to a USB(Universal Serial Bus) memory(23), a CD(Compact Disk)-RW(ReWritable)(26), and an HDD(Hard Disk Drive)(30). An RTC(Real Time Clock)(19) enables the MCU mark a data processing time, date, and event.
