A braking band (1) of a self-ventilated brake disc for a disc brake, comprises two plates stiffly connected by connecting elements (4) and defining ventilation channels (7) with said connecting elements (4), having a development direction (14), wherein the ventilation channels (7) along the development direction (14), are provided with protuberances (15) of continuously increasing size outwards of the braking band (1) and suitable for imparting an effective structural stiffness to the braking band (1) itself.
