The invention concerns devices and a method for evaluating a direction (?) of incidence of rays relative to a surface. The method consists in using a surface sensitive (SS) to the rays provided with a reference object (OT) made of a material adapted to absorb at least partly the energy of the rays (R) and whereof the geometric shape is such that the profile of energy (P) received by the surface sensitive (SS) to the rays (R), during irradiation, is characteristic of the direction (?) of rays (R) on said surface sensitive (SS) to the rays (R) during said irradiation.
