PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a guardrail which prevents a metal fragment from being caught and stuck in a connection between superposed beams or between the under face of the head of a bolt connecting beams and the surface of the beam. SOLUTION: One end in a vehicle travel direction of one beam 2 is superposed on top of the other end closer to the vehicle side of another beam 2 that is ahead in the vehicle travel direction of one beam 2. Respective ends of beams 2 are superposed sequentially in the above manner, connected with bolts 5 penetrating bolt holes formed on the beams 2, and are supported on posts 4 erected at given intervals to form guardrail 1. Chevron parts are so formed at spots separated further from the end of the beam 2 than the bolt holes as to project toward a road from the beam 2, and a projection 3 is formed on the surface of each chevron part, which projection 3 projects at least to the same extent as the head of the bolt 5 projects and has a slope 3a formed in the direction of the long of the beam 2.
