<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To add a coupon issuing function to a POS system neither without largely reforming nor changing the existing POS system which does not have the coupon issuing function. <P>SOLUTION: A coupon issuing system includes: the POS system having a POS terminal 1 for reading merchandise identification information and issuing a receipt concerning a transaction when the settlement of the merchandise is completed and a controller 2 for receiving an inquiry message including identification information read in the POS terminal 1 and answering merchandise information corresponding to the identification information; a coupon server 6 to be connected to the network of the POS system; and a central server 7 for setting a coupon issuing condition in the coupon server 6. The coupon server 6 allows the POS terminal 1 to issue a coupon in response to the analysis result of the inquiry message to be transmitted from the POS terminal 1 to the controller 2, based on the coupon issuing condition set by the central server 7. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
