<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust gas pressure controller of an internal combustion engine capable of well maintaining the temperature of an exhaust emission control device by suppressing the rise of exhaust gas pressure by an exhaust gas throttle means when fuel to the engine is cut off to limit an exhaust gas flow in a wide range. <P>SOLUTION: When the fuel to the engine 1 is cut off, an exhaust gas throttle valve 28 is fully closed, and when the exhaust gas pressure rises above a predetermined exhaust gas pressure, first the opening of an EGR valve 64 is increased, and when the EGR valve is fully opened, the opening of an intake air throttle valve 58 is decreased. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
