PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drug depot existing as a base or a corresponding protonated salt in which the base has a pKb value within the range of 2-6 and suitable for parenteral release, in particular intravascular release of at least one drug, above all, in relation to the drug depot for the parenteral drug release, in particular the intravascular drug release. SOLUTION: The drug depot comprises magnesium element in a biocorrodible form, i.e. the drug depot for the parenteral drug release, in particular the intravascular drug release comprises the following: (i) at least the one drug existing as the base or corresponding protonated base in which the base has a pKb value within the range of 2-6 and (ii) the magnesium element in a biodegradable form.
