PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To quickly evaluate/determine whether there is any possibility of deglutition abnormality or not without imposing any burden on the body. SOLUTION: This deglutition evaluation system evaluates whether there is any possibility of the deglutition abnormality or not and is provided with: a muscle contraction detecting means detecting the contraction of the muscle involved in the movement of the thyroid cartilage; a sound detecting means detecting a sound when a substance swallowed passes through the pharynx peripheral part; a movement detecting means detecting the movement of the thyroid cartilage; an expiration/inspiration detecting means detecting an expiration phase and an inspiration phase in a respiratory cycle; and a display means selectively displaying a part or the whole of detection data detected by the muscle contraction detecting means, the sound detecting means, the movement detecting means and the expiration/inspiration detecting means respectively on a monitor with their synchronizing in time series on an as-needed basis.
