<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a speech transmission system capable of performing sound field control having presence while having a simple configuration. <P>SOLUTION: A control unit 14 of a communication conference apparatus 1 emits a sound wave for measurement from a speaker array 12 to a terminal unit 2, and measures a time until a response is made to detect the position of the terminal unit 2. The control unit 14 sets directivity characteristic so that the microphone sensitivity of a microphone array 11 is directed to the position of the terminal unit 2, and transmits collected sounds to another communication conference apparatus 1. In the communication conference apparatus 1 of a receiver side, directivity characteristic of the speaker array 12 is set as if the collected sounds were emitted from the position of the terminal unit 2 in a transmitter side. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
