PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an adhesive resin sheet for manufacturing a multilayer optical waveguide efficiently and in an excellent yield. SOLUTION: A sheet, composed of an adhesive resin layer which is formed on a peeling film and composes the clad layer or the core layer of a planar optical waveguide by being hardened, or a sheet, composed of two adhesive resin layers having refractive indices different from each other and composing a clad layer and a core layer which are formed on a peeling film, is used as a resin sheet for manufacturing a planar optical waveguide. By using the resin sheet for manufacturing a planar optical waveguide, a multilayer planar optical waveguide and an optical recoding element having a high recording density are manufactured efficiently and in an excellent yield.
