<p>The present invention relates to a peptide comprising the amino acid sequence identified herein as SEQ ID NO: 1 or a homologue thereof with at least 60% sequence similarity, or a fragment thereof capable of eliciting an immunogenic reaction. The peptides of the invention are useful in the treatment of hand, foot and mouth disease.</p>
