The invention relates to an organic light-emitting diode (1) comprising the following elements, which are positioned from the rear face forwards and which are disposed on a substrate (2), namely at least one first type of electrode (3) having an organic light-emitting layer (4) mounted thereon, which is in turn topped with at least one second type electrode (6), said organic light-emitting layer producing light when charges are injected by a circulating current in the electrodes. The aforementioned electrode types correspond to anode and cathode. At least one of the electrodes is essentially transparent in relation to the light produced, such that said light can escape through one of the faces of the diode, i.e. the outlet face. According to the invention, the essentially-transparent electrode comprises at least one transparent extraction zone and at least one reflective zone which is adapted to return the light produced through the light-emitting layer, and said diode also comprises reflecting means which are disposed on the opposite side of the organic light-emitting diode to the essentially- transparent electrode and which are adapted to return the light produced in the direction of the essentially-transparent electrode through the light-emitting layer.
