The areas between the flanks of the teeth at a bevel wheel have to be deburred and in particular cases also provided with a chamfer. The device (29) performing these operations is fitted with an appropriately shaped cutting tool moved by its own drive acting on an angle transmission. The arrangement (11, 16, 29) is attached to the main processing unit creating the toothed areas at a bevel wheel and fitted with a work-piece carriage (5) linear movable in two directions and a tool carriage (7) to be rotated around a vertical axle.
