An Internet phone service system, an Internet phone service method, and a VoIP(Voice over Internet Protocol) phone used therefor are provided to enable a user to perform voice communication by connecting the VoIP phone to an Internet accessible PC(Personal Computer) at any place worldwide as carrying the VoIP phone combined with an easily portable USB(Universal Serial Bus) memory stick. Plural CAs(Call Agents)(110-113) classify plural client terminals(Sa0-Scn) into a series of groups, and mediate calls of the client terminals(Sa0-Scn) belonging to each group. A server(130) conducts subscriber authentication, accounting, and additional services of the client terminals(Sa0-Scn). A gatekeeper(120) is located on an upper end of the CAs(110-113) to manage client terminal-related information that lower CAs take charge of, and performs call setup and cancellation functions for external communication networks.
