A rear warning buzzer system and a control method thereof are provided to minimize a dead zone of a rear side of a vehicle and remove generation of unnecessary alarm signals by arranging vertically ultrasonic sensors. A sensor unit(10-2) is attached to a predetermined position of a vehicle and includes a plurality of ultrasonic sensors. The sensor unit is formed with a vertical arrangement in order to monitor a rear side by generating ultrasonic signals according to a predetermined control, and to output reflective ultrasonic signals of the ultrasonic signals as a voltage level. A buzzer unit generates an alarm signal according to the predetermined control. A control unit controls operations of the ultrasonic sensors and the buzzer unit.
