A high power white LED using two fluorescent bodies is provided to emit white light approximating natural light as compared with a conventional technique by mixing green light and yellowish green light respectively transformed by a blue and yellowish green fluorescent body and a Sr1-xSx:Eu fluorescent body. An LED chip mounting member has an external connection terminal wherein a predetermined interconnection pattern electrically connected to the external connection terminal is formed. A high power blue LED chip is mounted on the LED chip mounting member, electrically connected to the external connection terminal by the interconnection pattern. The LED chip is encapsulated by a molding resin. An LED device includes a yellowish green fluorescent body and a green fluorescent body uniformed distributed to the molding resin. The light emitted from the LED chip, the yellowish green fluorescent body and the green fluorescent body is mixed to form white light. The yellowish green fluorescent body is a YAG fluorescent body, and the green fluorescent body is a Sr1-xSx:Eu fluorescent body. |
