The invention relates to a lock cylinder which comprises a cylinder housing with a rotatably mounted cylinder core through which a plurality of locking bores radially extend. The aim of the invention is to provide a durable and reliable lock cylinder that can effectively withstand impact striking and yet is hardly susceptible to wear. For this purpose, at least the longest core pin (6<SUP>6</SUP>) has a conical projection (10) and is arranged, together with a housing pin (8<SUP>6</SUP>), in a common locking bore (5<SUP>6</SUP>). Said housing pin (8<SUP>6</SUP>) does not correspond to the shortest housing pin (8<SUP>3</SUP>) that is present in one of the other locking bores (5<SUP>1</SUP> to 5<SUP>6</SUP>) and has a projection (11) with a smaller diameter. |
