FLAT PANEL DISPLAY AND METHOD OF MAKING FLAT PANEL DISPLAY

A flat panel display and a method of manufacturing the same are provided to reduce an error caused by a remaining of an organic semiconductor material on a pixel electrode by making a second protection layer cover an upper face and a lateral face of the organic semiconductor layer. A method for manufacturing a flat panel display includes the steps of: preparing an insulation substrate; forming source and drain electrodes(161,163) which define a channel zone by being formed separately on the insulation substrate; forming a first protection layer on the source and drain electrodes; forming a metal layer on the first protection layer, wherein an opening unit is formed on the metal layer, corresponding to the channel zone; forming a receiving hole which exposes the channel zone to the first protection layer through the opening unit by using the metal layer as a mask; sequentially forming an organic semiconductor layer(190) and a second protection layer on the receiving hole and the metal layer; and removing the metal layer, the organic semiconductor layer(190), and the second protection layer placed on a remaining area of the metal layer.
