PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a calling method in the case of not wanting the contents of a conversation to be heard by an adjacent patient and the case of a patient who can not say a word or the like and can not tell a request by a conversation in a nurse call device. SOLUTION: A display window 3 for selecting the kind of a calling request is provided on a holding push button 4, and the nurse call device is provided with a means capable of calling a nurse on the basis of the pressing of a calling button 1 after a call displayed in the display window 3 is selected, a means of detecting a call kind corresponding to the position of the display window 3 and transmitting the call kind and call information to a nurse call master unit by the corridor lamp which receives the call, and a means of performing the character display or lighting display of the call kind together with ringing sound corresponding to the kind of the call in the nurse call master unit.
