PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an engine control system capable of making the maximum value of "torque decline correction amount" larger in the minus side than that when fuel injection amount is zero. SOLUTION: When jerk is generated by returning an accelerator pedal, plus side unnecessary torque due to the jerk is canceled by operating an automatic brake device and engine accessories. Thus, the maximum value of the "torque decline correction amount" can be made larger in the minus side than that when fuel injection amount is zero. As a result, an "effect portionα" at the time of control to cancel the jerk by rapidly returning the accelerator pedal can be reduced, compared to conventional technologies, and deterioration of operation feeling caused by control to suppress the jerk can be prevented.
