PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an antistatic epoxy resin composition forming an epoxy resin shaped article having high and stable antistatic property and excellent abrasion resistance, mechanical strength and transparency. SOLUTION: The antistatic epoxy resin composition comprises an ionic liquid expressed by formula (1) (R groups are each independently a 1-2C alkyl) in an epoxy resin raw material. Preferably, 0.01-20 pts.mass of the ionic liquid of formula (1) is included in 100 pts.mass of an aliphatic epoxy resin or 0.01-20 pts.mass of the ionic liquid of formula (1) is included in 100 pts.mass of an epoxy resin composition composed of 50-80 pts.mass of an aromatic epoxy resin and 20-50 pts.mass of an aliphatic epoxy resin.
