PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer in which the work for attaching a roll sheet can be facilitated while ensuring high print precision. SOLUTION: A portable printer 1 comprises a fixed wheel 11 and a sliding wheel 13 for holding a roll sheet from the opposite side faces. The fixed wheel 11 is fixed in the axial direction of the roll sheet rotatably about the axis of the roll sheet and has a pivot projecting to engage with the center of the roll sheet. The sliding wheel 13 is slidable in the axial direction of the roll sheet and urged toward the fixed wheel rotatably about the axis of the roll sheet and has a pivot projecting to engage with the center of the roll sheet. The pivot is urged in the direction projecting from the wheel surface and can retreat to lower the projection height. A tapered portion is provided at the tip of the pivot.
