PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas alarm capable of shortening inspection work hours. SOLUTION: The gas alarm for notifying an alarm of abnormal gas concentration when the gas concentration detected by a gas sensor 12 is predetermined alarm concentration and more is provided with an operation mode control means 16 for controlling switching between a normal operation mode and an inspection operation mode. A gas sensor detects gas concentration at predetermined timing during the detection period of gas concentration, and when the detected gas concentration is alarm concentration for the normal operation mode and more in the normal operation mode, the operation mode control means 16 notifies an alarm of abnormal gas concentration. When the detected gas concentration is alarm concentration for the normal operation mode and more in the inspection operation mode, the operation mode control means 16 starts an alarm of abnormal gas concentration, and when the gas concentration detected later is the preceding detection value and less at least twice continuously, forcedly stops the alarm.
