A system and a method for purifying water in an eco-pond is provided to purify water through function of purifying water in the bottom of the pond by repeating a process of periodically or repeatedly supplying and backflowing water between a pond and a retention tank. A system for purifying water in an eco-pond(100) comprises: a retention tank(10) for storing a high class water; a discharging backflow pipe(30) of which one end is connected to the retention tank, and of which the other end is buried and extended in the bottom of the pond; discharging backflow means for discharging the high class water in the retention tank into the pond through the discharging backflow pipe, and backflowing water of the pond through the discharging backflow pipe, thereby flowing the water of the pond into the retention tank to purify contaminants by a filtering layer(40) on the bottom of the pond; and contaminant discharge means(50) installed on the bottom of the pond to discharge the contaminants to the outside. |
