An apparatus and a method for paging a wireless communication device are provided to detect the location of a wireless communication device by using a different wireless communication device by enabling the wireless communication device to be searched to output a bell sound, without incurring a telephone charge. When a hotkey of another wireless communication device is pressed to page one wireless communication device(S311), signal of the hotkey is transferred to a CPU and the CPU controls an IrDA(Infrared Data Association)/BT to transmit a paging radio signal(S312). An IrDA/BT of one wireless communication device receives the radio signal(S321) and a CPU of one wireless communication device interprets discrimination ID of the received radio signal to check whether it is for data communication or a paging radio signal(S322). When the received radio signal is a paging radio signal, the CPU of one wireless communication device selects a sound source stored in a MIDI chip(S323) and outputs it through an audio codec and a speaker(S324).
