The invention relates to a device and a method for measuring the concentration of an indicator, such as for example indocyanine green (ICG), in the blood of a patient (3) in an extracorporeal blood circulation (1), in particular during extracorporeal blood treatments, such as liver support therapy or haemodialysis, by means of a unit (12) for introducing the indicator into the blood circulation (1) and at least one unit (8, 17) for measuring the indicator concentration. The aim of the invention is to provide a device or a method of this type, which is simple to use and does not inconvenience the patient, which delivers accurate, reproducible measured values as rapidly as possible and which is the least sensitive to movement and other interference factors. To achieve this, the indicator is introduced directly into the extracorporeal blood circulation (1) and both the unit (8, 17) for measuring the indicator concentration and at least one sensor (10, 18) for measuring the blood composition are located in said extracorporeal blood circulation (1). |
