DETECTING DEVICE AND ROTATION ANGLE SENSOR

A detecting device and a rotation angle sensor which have a small bending stress of a board, do not generate pattern disconnection/peeling nor solder crack failure, and have a high reliability and a low manufacturing cost. The detecting device is provided with an external case (13) composed of a case main body (11) and a cover member (12). On a supporting table (16) in the case main body (11), a fitting protrusion (17) for positioning the printed board (15) by fitting in a fitting hole (15a) of the printed board (15) whereupon a detecting component is mounted, is formed. On the protrusion (17), rib-like protruding strips (18) protrude from the outer circumference plane. The protruding strip (18) abuts to the inner circumference plane of the fitting hole (15a) of the board (15) and is elastically deformed or plastically deformed, and positions the board (15) in a direction along a supporting plane of the supporting table (16). Furthermore, a protruding section (19) of the cover member (12) urges the board (15) toward the supporting plane of the supporting table (16) by elastic deformation or plastic deformation to hold the board between the cover member and the supporting plane, and positions the board (15) in a direction vertical to the supporting plane of the supporting table (16).
