<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shaft for a golf club which is light in weight, has a proper bending strength and flexibility as the shaft of the golf club, has a strength against a bending fatigue and is excellent in durability. <P>SOLUTION: The shaft for the golf club includes a bias layer having a positive bias layer wherein a carbon fiber with a tensile elastic modulus of 230-900 GPa is arranged at an angle of +35 to +55°in a longitudinal direction over the whole length in the longitudinal direction and a negative bias layer wherein the same is arranged at an angle of -35 to -55°to the longitudinal direction, a PAN system straight layer wherein a polyacrylonitrile system carbon fiber with a tensile elastic modulus of 230-300 GPa is arranged in approximate parallel to the longitudinal direction over the total length in the longitudinal direction, and a pitch system straight reinforcement layer wherein a pitch system carbon fiber with a tensile elastic modulus elasticity of 160-210 GPa is arranged in approximate parallel to the longitudinal direction in a pointed head section at the small-bore side or over the total length in the longitudinal direction. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
