PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve detecting precision of a misfire, especially, an opposite cylinder misfire. SOLUTION: When a fuel cut instruction is on, required rotation time for each cylinder is stored. During manufacture, combustion irregularity among cylinders is stored. When fuel is supplied, total sum of the required rotation time in non-combustion and the combustion irregularity is subtracted from required rotation time to be used to extract a specific component, and when the component exceeds a threshold value, it is judged as a misfire.
