A bumper beam arrangement comprises a bumper beam fastened in two crash boxes (12,13). The crash boxes are vertically higher than the bumper beam, and the bumper beam is fastened vertically off set in the crash boxes. The portions of the crash boxes that are not covered by the bumper beam extend forwards to the front end of the bumper beam profile. ® KIPO & WIPO 2007
