<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a design-support system which is excellent in designing efficiency and causes fewer errors in examination, and also provide a design-support method therefor. <P>SOLUTION: The design-support system is provided with; an integrated specification table 1 which converts the specifications of vehicles, the specifications of units to be mounted on the vehicles and the specifications of components constituting the units into databases, respectively, and stores them; a business navigation part 6 which takes out information necessary for designing the components from the integrated specification table 1 and presents the information to a component designer together with procedures for designing the components; and a CAD template 11 which stereoscopically displays the components which are designed by using the business navigation part 6.
