<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for photographing a surface of a mill roll in order to test the service limit of the mill roll, which improves maintenance and simplifies structure. <P>SOLUTION: The device comprises a water supplying means 10 for supplying cold water, a water column forming nozzle 30 which discharges the cold water supplied from the water supplying means 10 onto the surface of the mill roll 200 used for milling a steel plate and forms a water column 60 between its head section and the surface of the mill roll 200, and a photographing means 20 which photographs the surface of the mill roll 200 through the water column 60. Furthermore, an adjusting mechanism is disposed at the water column forming nozzle 30, which makes the head section of the water column forming nozzle 30 come close to the surface of the mill roll 200 when the amount of the cold water supplied from the water supplying means 10 is increased, and the head section of the water column forming nozzle 30 move away from the surface of the mill roll 200 when the amount of the cold water supplied from the water supplying means 10 is decreased. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
