PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a semiconductor integrated circuit having a communication interface and characterized in that power consumption is reducible by eliminating a leak current by actualizing power gating by an easy method without following a special procedure. SOLUTION: The semiconductor integrated circuit is equipped with an interface which communicates with an external circuit when an enable signal inputted from an external circuit is turned on; a power supply control unit which controls supply electric power to the interface, and a core which is connected to the interface to perform various processing; and the power supply control unit supplies the electric power to the interface when the enable signal is turned on, and stops the supply of the electric power to the interface when the enable signal is turned off.
