摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable measurement of an absolute quantity of light carrier absolute phase using an optical pulse of 1μJ/pulse or less easily than the conventional art. SOLUTION: An extremely short optical pulse is radiated to a solid target with oblique injection, and interference intensity between the even-numbered order harmonics and odd-numbered order harmonics generated by this is measured. This measurement is repeated while the light carrier absolute phase of the optical pulse is varied (steps S1-S5). The interference intensity periodically varies according to the light carrier absolute phase of the optical pulse, so that a light carrier absolute phase corresponding to the light carrier absolute phase of the optical pulse can be calculated based on the measurement result of the interference intensity (steps S6 and S7).
