A variable air volume control apparatus is provided to precisely adjust the air volume by simplifying its structure to accomplish good performance of the apparatus with a low price. A variable air volume control apparatus includes a damper blade(30), an actuator(40), a passage expansion device(70). The damper blade is rotated in a duct to open and close a passage. The actuator controls to rotate the damper blade. The passage expansion device has a curved shape to expand the passage depending on an opening angle position of the damper blade when the damper blade is opened or closed. The passage expansion device has the curved shape such that an opening area is in proportion to an opening angle varied depending on an opening angle position of the damper blade. The passage expansion device is formed of a ring structure mounted on an inner surface of the duct, and the damper blade is formed to conform with the inner diameter of the ring structure.
