A driving circuit of a backlight lamp is provided to improve the luminescence characteristic of a display apparatus by providing a lamp with a constant tube current although a load of a lamp tube is changed according to a change of a surrounding temperature. A lamp(90) includes a first coil and a second coil. An initial power is applied to the first coil. The second coil converts the initial power applied to the first coil into a lamp driving power. A driving circuit of a backlight lamp includes a temperature detection unit(110), a microcomputer(120), a tube current control unit(130), and a switching unit(140). The temperature detection unit(110) measures a surrounding temperature. The microcomputer(120) outputs the lamp tube current information corresponding to the measured temperature. The tube current control unit(130) outputs a tube current control signal based on the lamp tube current information. The switching unit(140) controls a voltage level of the initial power based on a control signal of the tube current. |
