A device and a method for offering an extended barcode are provided to offer a user diverse information by offering the barcode changed/displayed according to a predetermined rule, and offer the user the information changed according to a condition by diversely reading the barcode with an extended barcode providing system set according to a predetermined condition. A data receiver(210) receives multiple encoding information associated with the extended barcode. A barcode generator(220) generates extended barcode information by associating each encoding information with barcode property information matched with the received encoding information. A barcode output part(230) outputs the generated extended barcode information. A barcode detector scans and detects the extended barcode. A barcode reader generates multiple decoding information and the barcode property information matched with each decoding information by reading the detected and extended barcode. A barcode information transferor selects one decoding information according to the barcode property information and outputs the selected decoding information to the user. |
