A liquid level sensing arrangement for a tank (2) may include a float (31) having a disc-like shape and a sensor (32) that detects a position of the float (31) relative to the tank (2). The float (31) may have an overall height/total displacement ratio of 0.5 or less. The float (31) may have a range of motion relative to the tank (2) so that at least a portion of the float (31) may move below a portion of a bottom wall (21) of the tank and/or below an outlet (22) for the tank (2).
