A liquid lens system comprises a liquid droplet (10) whose shape can be influenced by electrical fields. A multitude of electrodes are arranged in an annular manner around the liquid droplet. The liquid lens system is for use in an artificial eye, an accommodation measuring instrument and in a diopter telescope.
