摘要 <p>The picture giving procedure with optical coherence tomography catheter (OCT) in which the OCT pictures of contrast agent-marked vulnerable plaque is produced during continuous controlled moving of light emitting and light absorbing OCT-catheter head along the plaque after the intravascular injection of the contrast agent into the blood vessel system and after the intravascular introducing of the picture-giving OCT catheter into the blood vessel exhibiting the plaque. The contrast agent comprises paramagnetic ferric oxide particles, which has a size of 150-250 Nm in diameter. The picture giving procedure with optical coherence tomography catheter (OCT) in which the OCT pictures of contrast agent-marked vulnerable plaque is produced during continuous controlled moving of light emitting and light absorbing OCT-catheter head along the plaque after the intravascular injection of the contrast agent into the blood vessel system and after the intravascular introducing of the picture-giving OCT catheter into the blood vessel exhibiting the plaque. The contrast agent comprises paramagnetic ferric oxide particles, which has a size of 150-250 Nm in diameter. A quantification of the macrophages is carried out by comparison of the contrast agent concentration in healthy vascular sections with the contrast agent concentration in the vulnerable plaque.</p>
