An apparatus and a method for controlling a multi remote controller are provided to enable only a master remote controller to assign each remote controller and set/release watching conditions, an operation range, according to a corresponding user in a case of a video display used by plural users. In a controller for a multi remote controller including a video display(200) for displaying broadcast signals received through an antenna, and plural remote controllers(100) for controlling operations of the video display(200), the plural remote controllers(100) comprise the followings: the first remote controller(101) for setting a program restricting function and restricting conditions according to each user; and the second to Nth remote controllers(102~102) for operating the video display(200) under different conditions according to control of the first remote controller(101). |
