<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image editing device and an image editing method for enabling a user to visually recognize the image characteristics of a print image even if the print image to be outputted is being displayed in a thumbnail, and also to provide a program therefor. <P>SOLUTION: The image editing device 100 comprises: an image input device 10 for inputting images; an image characteristic identification section 19 for identifying the image characteristics of the print image; an image editing section 12 for displaying the thumbnail image of the print image and generating the print image by user operation; and a print/output/upload processing section 14 for outputting an edited image.
