<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust emission control system for an internal combustion engine for suppressing the worsening of exhaust emission during executing regenerating control. <P>SOLUTION: In the regenerating control of exhaust gas purifying capability of an exhaust emission control device, reducing agent is supplied from the upstream side of a catalyst having an oxidizing function to the exhaust emission control device which is provided on the downstream side of the catalyst while correcting an upper limit value for the amount of the reducing agent to be supplied in accordance with the temperature of the catalyst and the rate of an increase in the amount of intake air into the internal combustion engine (S109). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
