PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To narrow interval between an engine hood and a cylinder head of an internal combustion engine without narrowing interval between the engine hood and a cylinder head cover of the internal combustion engine and without changing dimension in height direction of an engine main body and an injector. SOLUTION: This fuel supply device has a return fuel passage 51 for returning surplus fuel leaking out from an inside of the injector to an outside of the injector, namely surplus fuel leaking out from a leak port 49 of a pipe joint part 47 provided on a rear end part of the injector 4 to an inside of a communication passage 54 of a return piping 53, in an inside of the cylinder head cover 2 attached on an upper part of the cylinder head of the internal combustion engine. Consequently, interval between an illustrated lower end surface in a plate thickness direction of the cylinder head cover 2 and an illustrated upper end surface of the pipe connection part 47 of the injector 4 can be made very small as compared with conventional technology in which an interval need to be formed between the return fuel pipe and the cylinder head cover.
