PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly safe lead line detacher capable of surely and easily detaching a residual piece of a lead line. SOLUTION: The lead line detacher 10 for detaching the residual piece 16 of the lead line from a bar 20 with the piece 16 remaining on one of surfaces 18 by separating a tantalum capacitor after joining the lead line of the capacitor (semiconductor) for semiconductor processing is constituted of a base 22, a stationery base 26 fixed to the upper surface 24 of the base 22 for placing the bar 20, a cutting edge 28 for detaching the residual piece 16 of the lead line from the placed bar 20, a sliding mechanism 30 for sliding the edge 28 to make it come closer to or farther away from the stationery base 26, and a control means not shown for controlling the sliding mechanism 30.
