摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an on-vehicle radar device, of which the detection accuracy is improved by compensating axial shift, obtained from a vehicle travel state and the output of a position sensor and controlling the direction of an antenna. <P>SOLUTION: The on-vehicle radar device comprises the antenna 2 for transmitting electromagnetic waves and receiving reflected waves, an object detecting means (ECU 7) for detecting an object, based on the transmitted/received waves, a travel state obtaining means (ECU 7) for obtaining the travel state of the vehicle, a radiation direction setting means (ECU 7) for setting the radiation direction of electromagnetic waves from the travel state, an actuator 4 for driving the antenna for changing the direction of the antenna 2 from the radiation direction, a position sensor 3 for detecting the position of the antenna 2, an axial shift calculating means (ECU 7) for determining the axial shift between the direction of the antenna 2 and the radiation direction of electromagnetic waves, based on the travel state and the the position of the antenna 2, and a storage means (ECU 7) for storing the reference position of the antenna 2 and the axial shift.
