PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a diffusion plate for transmission type screen which suppresses glare of a video when displaying a bright video while staying the deterioration in gain, resolution and uniformity to the minimum even when the diameter of a projection pupil of a projection lens which projects light to a transmission type screen. SOLUTION: In the diffusion plate 7 disposed in the transmission type screen, two first diffusion layers 13, 15 into which diffusion particles are respectively added are arranged via a second diffusion layer 14 into which diffusion particles having a particle size smaller than that of the diffusion layers 13, 15 are added.
