<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power converter in which a ripple current flowing through a current smoothing capacitor can be reduced. <P>SOLUTION: The power converter comprises carrier signal generating means (7, 8) employed, respectively, in first and second power converters (1A, 2A) for generating first and second carrier signals, and a carrier signal control means for controlling the carrier signal generating means such that the phases of first and second ripple currents match each other with reference to a ripple current phase map formed previously, and shifting the peak or valley of second carrier frequency by m/p×180° with reference to the peak or valley of first carrier frequency when a decision is made that the phases match each other by a ripple current phase determination means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
