<p>To assist players practice shooting from various positions around a basketball hoop, a ball return mechanism is attached to the hoop. The return mechanism includes a lower unit comprising two spaced apart side frames (5, 9) filled by netting (11) with a rubber chute (12) spanning between them. This unit is suspended from the hoop (14) by brackets (27, 39) which can be rotated on the hoop to aim the return chute, and clamped thereto by clamp (38) operated by handle (40). Extending upwardly from the brackets (39) is a curved upper unit (15) formed by frame (16) filled with netting (17) surrounding the rear of the hoop to direct inaccurate shots through the hoop to the return chute.</p> |
