PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve problems wherein manufacturing cost is increased and the number of parts is increased because a hole for insertion must be drilled and a bearing must be provided because an idling member is arranged in a rotary shaft axis part of a gear shift plate in a conventional friction disc type shifting unit provided with the gear shift plate constituted like a disc to which power from an engine is transmitted and a driven disc arranged at a right angle for the gear shift plate and moving in the direction of diameter for the gear shift plate to come into contact with it. SOLUTION: The shift plate 34 is constituted into a plurality of layers, a friction contact member 72 is fixed on its surface, and a layer fixing the friction contact member 72 is detachably constituted. The friction contact member 72 is concentrically divided into a plurality of parts, and each friction contact member is constituted by a member having characteristic for matching with a shift zone. A central side of the friction contact member is constituted of a member having large coefficient of friction, and its outer peripheral side is constituted of a member having excellent wear resistance.
